Description

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trekking, which is one of the best trekking route in the world and one of the top destinations in Nepal, offers the chances to observe and explore typical Nepali village and their traditional lives.

The Annapurna Base Camp route pass through spectacular and tranquil landscapes, charming Nepali Indigeneous Gurung and Magar villages, lush green Rhododendron, bamboo and alpine forests to the trip’s last and final destination, Annapurna Base Camp at the height of 4130m (13546ft.)

The Annapurna Himal is a chain of several Himalayan peaks above 7,000 m — the part of the range forms a natural am phi-theater known as the Annapurna Sanctuary— Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Ganagapurna and Annapurna III.

In this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most brilliant mountains views on the Earth.

As the sun touches the snow-capped summits — the Dhaulagiri 8,167m and Annapurna (8,091m)—you can enjoy the magnificent colorful scenery in front of your eyes.

This trek offers great opportunities to witness the beauty of the Annapurna region with a limited short time of trekking.

People and Culture

In Annapurna Base Camp Route, there are mix ethnic groups, such as, Brahmans and Chhetris in lower elevations and Mongoloid Himalayan people — Gurung and Magar —in high altitude.

Getting there

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts and ends in. Pokhara can be reached by bus, plane or private cars. It’s 30 min flight from Kathmandu and about 5-6 hours drive by tourist bus.

Best Season

The best season to visit Annapurna Base Camp is mid-September to November (autumn) and March to May (spring). During the trek, it offers grand spectacles of blooming rhododendron flowers in the month of March, April and May. The view of Mt. Dhaulagiri with the rising sun shining on it is one of the superb views of this trek.
